Expert financial planning with a personal approach

We’re a boutique financial planning firm, focused on providing our clients with an increased sense of financial well-being.

We do this by giving you tailored financial recommendations that meet your needs and help fulfil your goals. But to get to this point, we believe in taking the time to get to know you first and to develop a relationship with you. That’s why we limit the number of clients we take on; ensuring we can give you the attention and support you deserve.

Having experienced first-hand the real difference that lifestyle financial planning can make to people’s lives, Graham Day was passionate about setting up his own financial planning business and Kingswood Financial was born. He’s been advising clients for over thirty years and is a Chartered and Certified Financial Planner.

You can be confident you’ll get ‘a safe pair of hands’, while at the same time discovering that we adopt a forward-looking approach and embrace new ideas. What motivates us above everything is the knowledge that this type of financial planning really can change lives for the better.

Graham Day

Managing Director - Chartered and Certified Financial PlannerTM

Graham joined the financial services profession over thirty years ago at an international life assurance company. At a fairly young age, he rose through the ranks to become a Regional Manager, looking after Sussex and the South Coast.

Having helped other advisers to develop and fulfil their potential, Graham wanted to have more freedom to ensure his own work and lifestyle reflected his values and aspirations. He realised that the best way to do this was to set up his own financial planning firm and Kingswood Financial was born.

This has enabled Graham to integrate his passion for ‘financial planning being done properly’ with his unique, client centric and proven approach to financial well-being. His motivation is to help people identify what’s really important to them and enable them to achieve it. To this end, he’s constantly looking to develop his skills, even travelling to San Diego to be mentored by one of the world’s top financial planners.
As well as spending time with his family, Graham enjoys keeping fit and adventure holidays. He also enjoys cycling on sunny weekends and watching Formula 1.

Di Gray

Client Relationship Manager

Di started her career in the field of advertising and marketing. Her clients included Whitbread, Smiths Crisps, Volvo cars and McVities. She then took a short time out to bring up her two boys. Whilst they were young, Di supported visually and/or hearing-impaired students. This introduced her to a wide array of different subjects including aeronautical engineering, information technology, art, English literature and poets.

However, Di’s forte is in organisation and client relationships, so ten years ago, when her boys were in Senior School, she started working with Graham in her current role. Sharing common values, they have gone about creating a client-centric financial advice business.
Di is the ‘go-to’ person for any administration queries regarding diary management, investment processing and client communications. She is responsible for the day-to-day running of the office so that Graham can spend as much time as possible with his clients.
Outside of work, Di is always up for a challenge - either ‘Tough Mudder’ or falling off her road-bike! She enjoys exploring new places, trips to the theatre and art galleries, nice restaurants, keeping fit (including skiing and running) and spending time with her family and friends.

Jon Bell

Technical Consultant

Jon started in the financial services profession in 1997 and was employed for seventeen years before setting up as an outsourced ‘Paraplanner’ to achieve what we often help our clients gain; a better work-life balance.
As a result of working across an extensive range of financial areas for a variety of different clients, Jon’s knowledge and experience is broad and varied. He is self-motivated and prides himself on remaining calm under pressure.

Jon is an avid follower of tennis, frequenting Wimbledon Centre Court many times – as a spectator, not a player! He also loves the theatre; musicals in particular (having been to see Les Miserables in London three times). He enjoys travelling and has been to a diverse range of places including China, Peru, Russia and Jordan, to name but a few. He’s also partial to the odd waffle and caramel sauce!

Sarah Kay

Personal Assistant

Sarah has always enjoyed working with people since working in hospitality as a teenager, interacting with people she would not usually speak to.

She has a First Class Honours Degree in Hospitality Business Management and is currently completing an NVQ in Business Administration Level 2. When Sarah finished university, she worked in a small hotel in the Lake District and found that a client facing role was her strong point.

From hospitality, Sarah moved into administrative positions. The most important part of the job for her is client satisfaction. She likes to deal with enquiries effectively and to make sure that clear and concise messages are passed on.

Sarah loves being able to go back to her home in the Lakes and see Scafell Pike out of her Mum’s kitchen window. She also enjoys going skiing and just wishes she could do it more often. Sarah and her fiancé are currently busy planning their wedding next June.

Chartered Financial Planner – Advice You Can Trust

Play Video

Graham communicates details of financial planning in a language I can understand and has helped me achieve my goal of feeling financially comfortable at my retirement. I have total confidence in his financial planning, he understands my attitude to risk and the planning and advice I have received has provided me with a financial future that I had hoped for but could never have achieved by myself.

Graham was a breath of fresh air. We have known a few 'financial advisers' but Graham's approach to first establishing our 'needs' rather than just selling us products has been a surprising and rewarding experience. We're glad to have found someone that we can place our trust in to help us to first establish and then realise our future goals. How much to invest in your future well-being can be a difficult question but, right from the start, Graham was very open and honest about the 'life time' service his Company can provide and the costs associated with it.

NeilEngineer, Surrey

I was very impressed by [Graham’s] honesty, his desire to fully understand my personal objectives and views, and the quality of his advice and service to me. My circumstances were complicated and Graham clearly explained all aspects and covered any implications. In fact, due to his knowledge and involvement, my annual pension income is 18% more per year than it would otherwise have been.

We have been able to understand easily what needs to be planned to ensure a comfortable and organised future. It does give us peace of mind, which we want as retirement approaches.

Graham has been advising our company for over 5 years now and we are really happy with the professional service he provides on corporate benefits schemes (pensions, insurances etc.). He is always one step ahead in advising us of future regulations that would affect us and making sure we are fully compliant, as a company.

MurtazaFinancial Controller, London

Graham takes me through the significance of the investment decisions he is recommending in detail and fully explains the options. Most importantly, his advice is always sound.
